"A hand and an eye for detail is essential to the creative success; for only he who is the great observer can ever strive to be the greater artist."
-Arika Ackerman
I always was a fan on art and literature when I was a young child. Following my development of my love for video games, I discovered the Manga style and fell head over heels in love with the medium. When I went through two periods of medical issues some time ago, I was severely limited in what I could do, and, as a result, I spent most of my time reading, writing, and drawing, and so my attachment to these pastimes developed even further. Now, these are things which I spend the majority of my time doing. I went on to study and achieve a range of GCSEs, including English and Graphic Products; I have also studied AS Levels Sociology and Creative Writing, undertaken an Edexcel Level 3 Extended Project, and fully completed A Levels in Psychology, Ancient History, and Graphic Communications.
My continued motivation and striving for success in education has won me numerous awards: I have won three Graphics awards, once at High School and twice at college; my work in the school library saw me winning a Work in the Community award; I have won a "Student of the Year" award from college, under the category of the Humanities department; I was also selected as the "Rising Star of the Year - Post 16 Category" at the Suffolk 2015 Raising the Bar awards. I was also nominated and shortlisted for the "Inspiration Award" at the national "Student of the Year Awards", held in London September 2015.
